Sharing the recently discovered Gene Krupa drum collection, with the world.
Gene Krupa's Radio King Rack Tom
Gene Krupa's Radio King white marine pearl 9" x 13" rack tom, made in the late 1940's early 1950's. You can see Gene Krupa playing this actual drum in the documentary film, "Born To Swing" which was filmed in the basement of Gene's Yonkers, NY home.
Notice the off center diamond plate mount. Slingerland would commonly do these custom orders for Gene. The drum heads are well used and the drum was found inside it's original fiber case, which is included in the sale.
Each sale will be accompanied by a Certificate Of Authenticity, and all items sold will remain on mcaulaydrums.com as a source to show their provenance.
